LeechWELL Green

Important Considerations vs. LeachWELLTM 60X and LeachWELLTM GC

While LeachWELL™ GREEN is the preferred choice for its environmental profile, it’s important to note the differences in performance compared to LeachWELL60X and LeachWELL™ GC, which is a reagent grade catalyst formulated for fast cyanide leach gold assaying.

  • Effectiveness with Sulphides: LeachWELL™ GREEN is not as effective as LeachWELL60X and LeachWELL™ GC when dealing with high sulphide content ores, which typically increase cyanide consumption.
  • Leach Kinetics: The dissolution rate of gold, copper, and silver with LeachWELL™ 60X and LeachWELL™ GC is increased by more than sixty-fold, LeachWELL™ GREEN increases the rate by more than 12 times.
  • Cost: Cost-Effectiveness: Although the unit price is lower LeachWELL60X and LeachWELL™ GC is not as cost-effective as LeachWELL60X and LeachWELL™ GC in processes with high sulphide content, requiring greater product consumption which results in a higher overall operating expense.

LeachWELL™ GREEN is a technical grade catalyst formulated for the intensive cyanidation of gold concentrates. It offers an environmentally friendly alternative by being formulated without any lead. This makes it an ideal choice for operations where environmental constraints restrict the introduction of additional heavy metals into the process.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Intensive Cyanidation: Designed for use with Knelson and other gold concentrates.
  • High Recoveries: Recoveries above 99.9% within a few hours are common.
  • Safe Residue Disposal: Very high recoveries allow the residues to be safely discarded with NO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT.
  • Enhanced Security: Intensive cyanidation of concentrates offers far greater security for your gold room operations, as both solids and pregnant liquors can be handled in fully enclosed systems.
  • Electrowinning: Electrowinning of the smeltable product can be conducted in the gold room.
  • Tramp Iron Removal: The removal of tramp iron from the circuit is beneficial to the concentrator and to cyanide consumption.
  • System Integration: Batch and fully automated systems already exist or can be easily adopted, for example, batch treatment of concentrates using the Acacia Reactor.
  • Leach Rate: When used with 5% cyanide, the dissolution rate of gold, copper, and silver is increased by more than 12 times.
  • Lead-Free Formulation: Does not contain lead, making it the more environmentally conscious choice.
